Yoga for Kids and Teens

Yoga means 'connection' in Sanskrit. Suzanne's Yoga program for school children, youth, and educational staff nurtures the community to connect body and mind using breath, movement, and meditation.


In fun, engaging classes that are geared towards various age-groups, we develop awareness of body and breath, as well as strength and flexibility. Age groups range from Pre-K through Highschool.


Together, we explore anatomical knowledge and learn how to move and sit with healthy alignment, as well as self-treating common aches caused by stress and one-sided movement patterns. Through games, kids also learn mindfulness and meditation techniques. They practice story-telling as a tool for reframing problems into opportunities. Kids are encouraged to take what they learn on the mat and use it 'off the mat'.
